To the Honourable the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick Assembled

The petition of the undersigned citizens of Canada humbly sheweth  THAT,

The residents of Campobello do not have year round access to their own country and this is a cause of great hardship, we can not access services from the Canadian mainland other than when the private for profit car ferry is operating in the summer months, our mail is passing through the USA and is being opened , searched and sometimes seized by US  Customs, personal correspondence is also being opened which raises privacy concerns about what is being done with the information contained there in. We believe  that it is our Charter right to have unfettered access to our own country. 

Whereof your petitioners humbly prays that your honourable house may be pleased  to resolve this serious issue by providing a year round permanent link to the Canadian Mainland from Campobello Island, and as in duty bound your petitioners will ever pray.
