Update (Kartarpur Corridor, Saturday, November 9, 2019): Themes like 'new era of peace', 'relationship of mutual cooperation' and 'historic day' echoed among guests and pilgrims alike on Saturday at the opening of the Kartarpur Corridor, which allows the world's Sikh community unhindered access to one of their holiest sites for the first time in more than 70 years.

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, whose speech marked the formal opening, was also optimistic, saying, "I'm sure this is only the beginning and, God willing, I see a day when Pakistan and India will overcome their difference like France and Germany and improve the lives of their people by enhancing mutual trade and cooperation."

The visa-free border crossing has been touted as a landmark peace move between India and Pakistan. It help lower tension between Islamabad and New Delhi and have an impact on other outstanding disputes

We, hereby nominate the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi, for the Nobel Peace Prize for 2020 for his peace efforts and dialogues in the Asian region on diverse conflicts (e.g. Pakistan-India, Afghanistan-USA, Middle East etc.). His contributions deserve the international recognition with the award of Nobel Peace Prize in 2020, his aims of ensuring lasting peace in the region and discouraging revival of militarism should be recognized and greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
