6% of Americans are vegan. 25% of the UK is estimated to be vegan by end of 2020. Some meats are a Group 1 carcinogen (they CAUSE cancer). 1 in 2 Americans have diabetes or are pre-diabetic. By 2048 our oceans will be fishless at this rate. The dairy industry lost over 2 billion in sales this year. The demand for plant-based food is increasing everyday! Whether it’s to save the environment, ethics, religion, health or personal preference-let’s make sure this rapidly growing group is NO LONGER OVERLOOKED and we are not discriminated against regardless of where we dine. It’s a win-win-win-win! We are starting with my progressive hometown of West Hollywood, CA because I am confident we can be the change that impacts the world. Restaurants that make our 25% vegan menu pledge will receive our vegan-friendly sticker to display in storefronts and use of our organization logo for their marketing. West Hollywood is just the beginning to take this initiative globally.
