Ancells Road around Ancells Farm in Fleet is currently a 40mph road.  The speeds on this road have been increasing and where already unsuitable and to high for the facilities and neighbourhood adjoining the road.

The open play park and playing fields that join onto the road are open and children are free to run from the fields direct onto the roads. There has been a large increase of office blocks on the north of the road that have been converted to apartments which has meant an increase in foot traffic wanting to cross Ancells roads to the shops and open spaces to the south of the road.

30mph would be a far safer and more suitable speed limit for this road and the undersigned ask Hampshire County Council to implement a 30mph speed limit on Ancells Road from the roundabout to Elvetham heath through to the Cover Road roundabout.
