The Forum Theater served an important function in the community during its years of operation, providing a venue for music, performance & films.  It has been sorely missed as a valuable hub for the exchange of creative ideas among members of the community and entertainment for visitors since its closure over 10 years ago.

Goodent a new local 501(c)(3) has taken the initiative, with the blessing of its owner Joseph Bork to reopen the Forum Theater. We intend to restore the space, facilitate programming, and promote events. We need funds to do this to pay for overheads, performances, staff and publicity. Our first step in our capacity as a non profit -  is to apply for a  Inyo County community grant. If we are awarded this grant we can get the Theater up and running faster and offer a wider range of programming to be enjoyed by both the community and visitors alike.

Goodent's mission is to reclaim spaces, materials and a sense of wonder in the community. The re-opening of the Forum Theater will achieve all this and more.
