The teachers of Zimbabwe are demanding salaries in United States dollars or prevailing rate on the market. A living wage is critical for the teachers of Zimbabwe to be able to meet their seven basic needs.
Zimbabwe teachers are currently earning around $US120 yet the cost for a family of five is above US$1000.
