The newest, most powerful smartphone released by Samsung is the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+. This smartphone is absolutely amazing, fun and exciting to use! There is just one problem with this phone. The lack of support to unlock the bootloader. 

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ (SM-N975U1) is the carrier unlocked USA variant of the smartphone, which Samsung has removed the OEM unlock toggle from the developer settings. What is most unfortunate, is the International variant CAN be bootloader unlocked as well as the Exynos CPU variant. The community is very confused as to why only the SM-N975U1 variant CANNOT be bootloader unlocked.

I have thought of a few compromises for Samsung to allow bootloader unlocking on the SM-N975U1 variant. Firstly, I believe in the right of ownership, and being able to have full control over a device I have completely paid for. So,the first requirement would be the device needs to be completely paid for to be bootloader unlocked. Secondly, we are willing to trade our warranty in exchange for the ability to bootloader unlock, so if our phones are bricked it will be our problem, not Samsung's. And lastly, I think in all fairness, the Exynos and international variants are able to have their bootloader unlocked, the SM-N975U1 variant should have that ability as well. 

The community of people that wishes to unlock the bootloader is very small. Only a fraction of people that bought the device will actually use this feature. I am not alone in feeling cheated after spending $1200 for this amazing piece of hardware, only to be limited on what I can use it for, even though I paid for the device in full. I honestly believe that our compromises are more than enough to be allowed to unlock the bootloader on the device. We are entitled to fully own the device we paid for, and use it however we see fit. We are asking Samsung to meet it's very devoted consumers in the middle and add the OEM Unlock toggle back in the developers settings under the condition of the listed compromises.
