The developer of St Agnes church, Newtown Road, has started building a balcony on the 1st floor of the church with a new doorway to gain access. There are also plans to put exterior neon lights on the outside of St Agnes Church, which is being developed into Natural Fit Gym. In addition to this the club has already obtained a license to serve alcohol.

Houses 14, 16, 18 Fonthill Road are as close as 12ft from this balcony, it gives direct line of sight into living room, bedroom and bathrom and overlooks the garden of all 3 properties.

1. The developer doesn’t have planning permission to build a balcony and/or install neon lights on the exterior.
2. They shouldn’t be granted retrospective planning permission as it would have serious ramifications for neighbouring properties in terms of noise, light pollution, anti-social behaviour and privacy.
3. If the Health club becomes more of a social and drinking club rather than a health and fitness club, the limited parking will become totally insufficient.
