South Africa’s Minister of Police, Bheki Cele,  says in the future he hopes to see a South Africa where only law enforcement officers would carry firearms, “South Africans should not own firearms”, “There should be no guns for private citizens” and “Ban guns for private citizens

Leaked versions of the draft amendment Bill (which became a reality on 21/05/2021) suggest that people will lose their right to own firearms for self-defence.

He is considering banning guns, just like Hitler, Moa-Tse Tung, Pol Pot, Joseph Stalin, Idi Amin, etc..

Ian Cameron said Cele’s comments undermined the freedoms of citizens.

He also argued that the proposed restrictions on gun ownership and the campaign to disarm the general population was not practicable, especially under an administration struggling to optimise the policing system.

“Cele is again trying to limit the freedom of others while his own house is not in order,” said Cameron.

Molon Labe (or ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ) is a classical Greek phrase meaning “come and take [them],” attributed to King Leonidas of Sparta as a defiant response to the demand that his soldiers lay down their weapons

The South African government should take note of the following:

1.      Just like you, Bheki Cele, we also have Constitutional Right to life                         (Section 11 of Act 108 of 1996)

IF GUNS ARE OUTLAWED, ONLY OUTLAWS WILL HAVE GUNS!

Regular updates about the petition will be shared on Telegram: https://t.me/MolonLabeSA and/or https://t.me/LawyersWithGuns

Copies of the petition will also be forwarded, with signatures, to GOSA as well as all major firearm-, hunting- and shooting associations in South Africa as well as Carte Blanche (as soon as we have enough signatures obviously).

A short history lesson:

Look what happened to others when disarmed:

Looking back, who has committed murder in the largest degree? Dictators Adolf Hilter, Mao Tze Tung, Josef Stalin, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, etc.

Time and time again it has been a corrupt government who is responsible for the mass murder of their own people under the deceptive guise of “gun control,” all of which the said dictators implemented.

Keep in mind these people promised their citizens protection and freedom upon the forfeiture of their guns as well.

How many times, I ask, does history need to repeat itself?

Paralleling History:

Let’s parallel history with the present ideology and methodology that those in the past blueprinted to implement gun control.

  • Mass murderer Adolf Hitler at a dinner talk on April 11, 1942 said:

“The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms.  History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing.  Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the supply of arms to the underdogs is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty. So let’s not have any native militia or native police. German troops alone will bear the sole responsibility for the maintenance of law and order throughout the occupied Russian territories, and a system of military strong-points must be evolved to cover the entire occupied country.”

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, millions of Jews and others, who were unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

  • Josef Stalin, the sole leader of the Soviet Union from 1924 to 1953, said:

“If the opposition disarms, well and good. If it refuses to disarm, we shall disarm it ourselves.”

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

  • Idi Amin, president of Uganda from 1971 to 1979, said:

"I do not want to be controlled by any superpower. I myself consider myself the most powerful figure in the world, and that is why I do not let any superpower control me."

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. The Indian community suffered immensely.

  • Pol Pot, who created in Cambodia one of the 20th century's most brutal and radical regimes, was responsible for killing one million of his own ‘educated,’ yet unarmed citizens unable to defend themselves.
  • Rwanda,  genocide & mass slaughter of Tutsi and moderate Hutu in Rwanda by members of the Hutu majority. During the approximate 100-day period from April 7 to mid-July 1994, an estimated 500,000–1,000,000 Rwandans were killed, constituting as much as 70% of the Tutsi and 20% of Rwanda's total population. The genocide was planned by members of the core political elite known as the akazu, many of whom occupied positions at top levels of the national government. Perpetrators came from the ranks of the Rwandan army, the National Police (gendarmerie), government-backed militias including the Interahamwe and Impuzamugambi, and the Hutu civilian population. The Tutsis were unarmed unable to defend themselves .
