The people of Stafford want a roundabout at the Chatham bridge on the Stafford County side of the river.  Many commuters use this route daily to avoid the heavy congestion at the Falmouth light and Cool Springs Road. The new traffic route will only create more congestion at the Falmouth light and Cool Springs Road. Having a roundabout at this location will give drivers the alternate route that is needed during heavy traffic times in this area.. as they did before the bridge project. This will also allow traffic to flow better the way it does in various locations in Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania county.
