Periodically (every week or so), some person, presumably employed by the Fairfax County Times drives through my neighborhood and throws a newspaper, packaged in a plastic bag out of his/her window (while driving) onto my and my neighbors' lawns.

These create massive amounts of litter that require manual effort to dispose of, before they either rot away or get swept by rain into gutters.

I do not know anyone that reads these or subscribes to this service.

I do not understand how this is not considered littering on a massive scale.

In an era where environmentalism is at least a moderate concern, I do not understand how this practice remains allowed.

I am asking people to sign this petition, so we can make the case to Fairfax County officials that this needs to stop.
