Make the Supreme Commander Forged Alliance - open source game engine and give access to the fans!

We (community represented by players who love project  https://www.faforever.com/ ) ask that the Supreme Commander Forged Alliance game engine be distributed under one of the open source licenses and transfer or give access to the independent developers. We want to make the game better!

One of the best games of the RTS genre Supreme Commander was released in 2007 and still pleases players with its scale and quality of the game. Open community launched its new servers for 1-on-1 games and multiplayer games in 2012 at no cost (after official server GPG was down March 1st, 2012). Since then, volunteers from around the world have continued to improve the game.

For 8 years of hard work was:
- fixed many large and small bugs https://github.com/FAForever/fa/blob/develop/changelog.md
- the game now allows 16 players to play simultaneously in same time
- titanic work allowed to improve network connectivity and make games comfortable after the release of ICE Adapter
- hundreds and thousands of custom mods and maps, some of them have already been introduced into the game and made even more comfortable
- a unique fifth Nomads race is being developed, single and cooperative missions with game history for the race
- since 2012, our monthly audience has grown daily online is 1,500 players and this is all done by enthusiasts
- community collect prize money for tournaments with their hands and hold large-scale events - look at the participants and prize funds https://forums.faforever.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=19284

All this is done by people who like the game, for free and with great enthusiasm. We love the game and want its development and continuation.

But still many problems remain unresolved. And most importantly - the game uses only two processor cores, and modern processors offer 8 or more cores. And without access to the source code of the game engine, we cannot solve these problems. As well as emergency shutdowns and crashes of the game. As well as optimizing the performance of different game mechanics.

We do not ask for money or help. We ask you to make the old game engine open under an open source license.

We, players  - fans of the Supreme Commander series of games - ask the opportunity to develop and improve our favorite game!

Every day we call new players into the game and they buy a copy of the game on Steam. It brings you money.
Every day we improve the game and make it more interesting, add new things and help to fix bugs.
