In 2019, Disney launched it's new streaming platform, Disney+, bringing a huge variety of films, television series, short films, documentaries, and lots more from all throughout Disney's rich nearly century-long history. But in the wide pool of classic or nostalgic gems in Disney's history on television that people can easily catch on streaming, one underrated standout has been missing from the spotlight: Disney's House of Mouse.

House of Mouse was an animated series that aired from 2001-2003 for a total of 52 episodes on both Disney Channel and ABC as part of their One Saturday Morning Block. It was a comedy variety series similar to The Muppet Show that had Mickey Mouse and his friends running and hosting a nightclub show showing their animated cartoons, and the club guests were characters from all throughout Disney's rich history of animated movies up to that point. Characters from films like Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, Winnie the Pooh, The Little Mermaid and others were able to appear and interact with the Sensational Six. It was very unique for any Disney fan to see characters they knew and love together in one show in a way that was beyond a simple cameo or easter egg. It wasn't too groundbreaking as for as content goes, but it was a very entertaining show, and in some ways a love letter to the fans of Disney Animation.

Since the show ended in 2003 and reruns stopped in 2009, the show has been increasingly had to circulate, aside from the two direct-to-video movie spin-offs, Mickey's Magical Christmas and Mickey's House of Villains. The show has become a real fan-favorite, and a real novelty piece of Disney history coming together.

This series means a lot to me and a lot for so many people. Anyone who grew up with Disney Channel in the 2000s can say that House of Mouse was a real favorite and if it can be added to Disney+, not only will people be able to relive some nostalgic memories, new generations of Disney fans can experience an epic crossover and some Mickey & Friends goodness. Plus, it would mean a lot for people who are having a hard time trying to find this series, as it's hasn't been on home video or any VOD platform. 

With Disney+ being the place where millions of people can stream hours of Disney content both famous and obscure, House of Mouse would be a perfect addition to the library. So what are we waiting for? Let's rock this house and get House of Mouse onto Disney+!
