Metro has announced that Route 22, which serves the Gatewood and Arbor Heights neighborhoods of West Seattle, is scheduled to remain suspended when transit services return to 85% of pre-COVID levels in September.  Without the 22, Arbor Heights has no bus service throughout the majority of the day. A number of residents desperately need bus service to survive and have no other way to shop, etc. They are concerned that this move will make them prisoners in their own homes and essentially make the quarantine permanent.  We call on King County Metro to reconsider its decision to suspend Route 22 service indefinitely.
