Currently Bowling Centers throughout New York State have no set timetable for reopening.  Originally they were set to reopen in Phase IV, however as of 6/24/2020, Governor Cuomo said bowling centers are high risk indoor recreational activities and therefore did not provide any date for reopening.

Bowling centers are cleaner than gyms.  They are large open spaces in which people can easily social distance.  Bowling centers are taking ALL of the necessary precautions and measures to achieve successful social distancing and most are going above and beyond to ensure the safety of their customers.  

Many of the proprietors and employees livelihoods are at stake.  Failing to open bowling centers soon will result in many centers closing and never reopening on top of many people being out of work.  Almost every other state in the country has either already opened bowling centers or has provided a date in which they will open.  Only New York does not have a set date.
