The Cornwall Council are,against local wishes, closing this young persons' Outdoor Education centre depriving the Community of an accessible asset for young people from a wide area.Outdoor pursuits and habits acquired in childhood are known to bolster mental health and physical fitness with a possibility of those benefits persisting throughout life.Fitter citizens lead to less drain on supportive resources such as the NHS.The Council insist the Centre will close on schedule thus giving a 10 week window for  interested groups to come up with an alternative plan.If the Centre closes the highly experienced staff will be lost to the project and income to set against running costs will pause,bookings cannot be taken when the situation is unclear.

We need a 6 month extension on the timeline to allow for potential alternatives to be arranged
