Saw Mill River Road/9a is in horrible condition and needs desperate attention

It is of great concern to myself and other fellow residents of the area 9a/Saw Mill River Road Village of Elmsford/Town of Greenburgh from the Teamster Building all the way to the Westchester Skating Academy both Northbound and SouthBound areas roads are completely hazardous due to excessive potholes and road erosion along this road. This poses risk to drivers, cyclists ,and pedestrians. Also at the expense of residents, vehicles tires, suspensions  etc. have been damaged as well. 

I have pushed relentlessly to Region 8 NYSDOT and they state it is not a priority at this time, and doesn’t make the cut for their capital project. Myself and many others are baffled and affronted on this decision. 

During inclement weather risk heightens due to these decaying roads This also negatively affects the quality of life of current residents and visitors of the area. I can attest to this hazard because family, friends myself, and fellow constituents frequently drive on this road.

I kindly request for this to be a top priority  for the NYSDOT to rectify this situation that is long overdue. Many ask, why after so many years how come absolutely nothing has come into fruition ?

p  Given to how high taxes are in the area and this is the sub standard road that residents are kept with. 

I implore for NYDOT, NY State elected officials, Governor Hochul, Lt Governor Delgado to expedite the milling and repaving of 9A in Elmsford and Greenburgh.  

I appreciate that the more residents that sign this petition the stronger this petition will be and we can propel this necessary project forward.

Es de gran preocupación para mí y para otros residentes del área 9a/Saw Mill River Road Village of Elmsford/Town of Greenburgh desde Teamster Building hasta Westchester Skating Academy, tanto en dirección norte como en dirección sur, las carreteras son completamente peligrosas debido a baches excesivos y erosión del camino a lo largo de este camino. Esto representa un riesgo para los conductores, ciclistas y peatones. También a expensas de los residentes, los neumáticos de los vehículos, las suspensiones, etc. también han resultado dañados.

He presionado incansablemente a la Región 8 NYSDOT y afirman que no es una prioridad en este momento, y no hace el corte para su proyecto de capital. Yo y muchos otros estamos desconcertados y ofendidos por esta decisión.

Puedo dar fe de este peligro porque mi familia, mis amigos y mis compañeros electores con frecuencia manejan en este camino.

Solicito amablemente que esto sea una prioridad para el NYSDOT para rectificar esta situación que se ha retrasado mucho. Muchos se preguntan, ¿por qué después de tantos años, cómo es que absolutamente nada ha llegado a buen término? Teniendo en cuenta lo altos que son los impuestos en la zona y esta es la carretera por debajo del estándar con la que se mantienen los residentes

Ruego al NYDOT, a los funcionarios electos del estado de Nueva York, al Gobernadora Hochul y al Vicegobernador Delgado que aceleren el fresado y la repavimentación de 9A en Elmsford y Greenburgh.

Aprecio que cuantos más residentes firmen esta petición, más fuerte será esta petición y podremos impulsar este proyecto necesario. Propagamos esta información a todos y hagamos que suceda.
