No Masks in Primary Schools
No Masks in Primary Schools
Why this petition matters
The Cayman Islands have an excellent vaccination rate to protect our vulnerable citizens. There are no recommendations from the UK to wear masks in Primary Schools
Children under the age of 12 do not need to wear masks.
Children under 12 do not use masks correctly.
Masks impair concentration and verbal participation in lessons.
Increased sanitation and distancing along with comprehensive contingency plans to deal with outbreaks are sufficient to protect the community.
Private companies can implement their own mask policies to protect their customers and clients. Private schools must be allowed to do the same.
Unless we are provided with medical evidence to support the decision, the masking of our children will cause anxiety and limit learning.
Please sign this petition to remove the mandate for masks in all Primary schools.
