Request Governor Tim Walz to Host a Town Hall in St. Cloud
The Issue
I, a concerned citizen of St. Cloud, am deeply troubled by the existing situation where our voices are not being adequately represented by our Congressman, Tom Emmer. This lack of representation weakens the democratic fabric of our society. It is thus imperative for those in higher authority to step in and counter this problem. We're asking Governor Tim Walz to host a town hall in our city, St. Cloud.
A town hall meeting with our Governor would provide our community an opportunity to voice our concerns, issues, and aspirations directly, allowing for more comprehensive and representative decision-making. Effective representation depends on constructive, two-way communication between elected officials and their constituents, which is currently lacking here by Tom Emmer's refusal to host town halls.
By agreeing to host a town hall, Governor Walz would be asserting the importance of our voices not only to be heard, but to be responded to. Being acknowledged by our state's Governor will be a step towards ensuring a better democracy, where every citizen knows their voice counts.

As one of Rep. Emmer’s constituents who belongs to multiple marginalized communities, I am deeply concerned about the actions he has been taking and the viewpoints he has been espousing on the national stage. I feel his actions are a direct threat to me and many people I care about, and I would like the opportunity to address that with someone. Since Emmer has made it clear he is not interested in his consituents’ input, I would appreciate the opportunity to share my concerns with Gov. Walz.
Tom Emmer continues to ignore my requests for a town hall. He fears Trump and Musk. Gov Walz demonstrates real leadership, unlike Tom Emmer.
Tom Emmer doesn’t care about the people of St Cloud. All he cares about is sucking up to Trump and helping his plans to dismantle our Constitution and our democracy. Tim Walz, and people like him, represent a better future for our country where everyone’s voice is heard and nobody has to struggle every day just to make ends meet.
