ADMINISTRATIVE CLOSURE

After receiving the order to close its doors at 2:00 am immediately and to play at 95 dB from the Brussels Administration (Brussel Leefmilieu/ Bruxelles Environnement), the club cannot open under these circumstances and therefore is closed from today.

Despite substantial work to prevent a closing, a complaint from a neighbour who bought an adjacent house some years ago is the leading cause of this cessation of activity. Employing 10 people during the week and 80 employees during the weekend, all these jobs are now under immediate threat. 

Fuse has introduced an appeal against this decision at the Milieucollege/ Collège d’Environnement, and a decision is expected by January 25th.

LOSING A NIGHTLIFE INSTITUTION

Fuse Club is Belgium’s longest-running techno club and one of the most prestigious nightclubs in Europe. Hosting DJs and musicians from all over the world, Fuse has continued to raise the profile of Brussels for 29 years now. Losing this nightlife institution would be heartbreaking for all music lovers and culture in its vast sense. Considered a second home for many Brussels residents, Fuse is also an important economic player and a vibrant hub for youth culture since the mid-90s.
