Why this petition matters

It has been almost a year since Fasika Tadele went missing. His father Kinfe Fasika Tadele asked investigators for answers & was told to assume he committed suicide. Why would Fasika travel across the United States to visit family only to have an accident & then after being dropped off at a gas station decide to end his life?

22 year old Fasika Tadele was traveling from Orlando Florida to Wichita Kansas to visit family. On April 16, 2022 family had noticed that Fasika‘s GPS had stopped moving for over 24 hours due to the language barrier it took some time for them to notify authorities to figure out what happened to Fasika. It has come to light Fasika was involved in a one car accident outside of the Saint Charles Missouri area. A tow truck driver picked Fasika up with his belongings and dropped him off at a gas station 8 miles from any other public building. There were gas stations that were in a more populated area. However this gas station was remote & located by a body of water.
Fasika was dropped off at the gas station but his belongings remained with the vehicle towed back to the lot. We made contact with this gas station & confirmed Fasika had been picked up by the Towing company via video & that Fasika did not take his belongings into the gas station. Confirmation was made in person. However, in follow up messages with the tow company they have since denied picking Fasika up.

Fasika has not been seen since, he does not have a working phone. Also, there was a strange missing poster that convenience store employees said had been placed in their window by an odd gentleman.  When Fasika went missing family member’s stated someone else had filed a missing person report before they did. They did not know who filed the report.

We believe this case is not getting the law enforcement or media attention it deserves due to family immigrating to the United States & Fasika being of a minority. The family has language barriers as well as this case crossing many jurisdictional lines.

Why hasn’t this broached Federal law enforcement attention? Due to language barriers why hasn’t an interpreter/advocate been assigned to the family for this case? We need 1,000 signatures to present this petition to the Missouri State Attorney General Andrew Bailey & have Fasika Tadele’s case transferred to a department better equipped to handle multi jurisdictional cases. Please help us reach 1,000 signatures & let Kinfe Fasika Tadele know he’s not alone in his search for his son Fasika Tadele.
