The North Chickamauga Creek Conservancy (NCCC) seeks your help in achieving a "State Scenic River" designation for North Chickamauga Creek. This designation from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation would formally recognize the outstanding scenic, recreational, geologic, botanical, fish, and wildlife values of this river segment. 

By signing this petition and/or donating to NCCC, you will help us seek support from Tennessee State Parks, our area legislators (Representative Patsy Hazelwood and Senator Bo Watson), and neighboring landowners for the State Scenic River designation, which would ensure that North Chickamauga Creek remains "unspoiled for this and future generations to enjoy as precious pieces of our natural heritage" (TN Code 11-13-103).

We are seeking the Class 1 Natural River Areas designation, the highest level of recognition and preservation, so we need robust support from our community to demonstrate the value of this precious watershed.  Please sign the petition, and tell your friends to support this effort to give the Chattanooga area its first State Scenic River.
