Recent news articles have revealed dangerous ethical lapses by Justice Clarence Thomas- in taking bribe money, and failing to report the gifts as required of ALL federal employees.

Law enforcement is fond of saying "no one is above the law."

But the questions surrounding Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas' unreported luxury gifts from a conservative billionaire over two decades are shedding light — once again — on the imbalance that exists when it comes to who is held accountable and who is not.

Thomas, and his wife, both accepted gifts worth more than a hundred thousand dollars from a man who had cases pending before the court.  Then Thomas ruled in those cases in favor of the man who gave him gifts.  

 18 U.S. Code § 201 - Bribery of public officials makes it a felony to accept gifts in exchange for votes on the court.  Thomas must immediately resign, and the FBI needs to open an investigation. 

We demand the resignation of Thomas, and any other justice who failed to report gifts and income of themselves and spouses under 5 U.S. Code § 7353 - Gifts to Federal employees. 

We further demand that all Justices be equally subject to 5 USC 7353 with enforcement by determined appropriate by the Judicial Conference of the United States on the same terms as any other judge of the United States. 

Resign immediately.
