世界に誇る青森県の板画家
棟方志功記念館の存続を求める署名に
ご協力をお願い致します！

　棟方志功氏の文化勲章受章を記念し、その業績を永く伝えるため青森県・青森市をはじめ多くの人たちの協力により、１９７５年１１月に財団法人棟方志功記念館が開館しました。

　以来今日まで、青森県を代表する記念館として、４８年間にわたり版画文化の普及と発展、さらに、青森県を代表する観光施設としても大きな役割を果たしてきました。

　ところが、生誕１２０年展示会直前の昨年６月に突然、「コロナ感染による来館者減、建物設備の老朽化、バリアフリー非対応など」を理由に、２０２４年３月３１日で閉館することが発表されました。

　青森県民、市民にとって「寝耳に水」で、志功の功績を伝えるシンボル的存在の同館が閉じられることへの驚きと衝撃、惜しむ声は大きく、青森県、青森市に対し、記念館の存続を求めて、署名を提出します。みなさんのご協力をお願い致します。

We ask for your cooperation in petitioning for the continuation
of the Shiko Munakata Memorial Hall, a world-renowned board painter in Aomori Prefecture .

　In November 1975, the Shiko Munakata Memorial Museum was opened with the cooperation of many people, including Aomori Prefecture and Aomori City, in order to commemorate Shiko Munakata's receipt of the Order of Culture and to pass on his achievements for a long time.

　Since then, as a memorial hall representing Aomori Prefecture, it has played a major role in the spread and development of printmaking culture for 48 years, and also as a tourist facility representing Aomori Prefecture.

　However, in June last year, just before the 120th anniversary of his birth, the museum suddenly decided to close on March 31, 2024, due to "a decrease in the number of visitors due to the corona infection, deterioration of building facilities, non-barrier-free support, etc." Announced.

　The people of Aomori Prefecture and the citizens of Aomori Prefecture were surprised and shocked by the closing of the museum, which was a symbol of Shiko's achievements. We ask for your cooperation. Please submit your signature.  If the paper is insufficient, please make a copy.
