We know far too many residents are visiting overcrowded emergency rooms and waiting much too long for care.

The Bayers Lake Community Outpatient Clinic—scheduled to open in August 2023—will have 17 examination rooms and diagnostic imaging (ultrasounds, x-rays, etc.), but will be closed evenings and weekends, or most of the time.

We need 24 HOUR URGENT CARE at the new Bayers Lake facility!

The CEO of the NS Health Authority acknowledged that Bayers Lakes is an ideal area for a 24-hour care facility and that, “…we need—sorely need—additional emergency health services (E.R.s) in metro”.

We can all help the CEO and Minister of Health by showing them the support they need to make this an easy decision. As MLA for the Bayers Lake location, I have organized this petition, so our collective voices can be heard.
