ABOUT THE SANDRA MOON COMMUNITY COMPLEX -

The Sandra Moon Community Complex is a work in progress, as the old Grissom High School campus is transformed into a facility for all in the community to enjoy. The new complex will provide a unique opportunity for South Huntsville. By leveraging the existing assets – location, land, theatre, recreation facilities – and adding new ones – library, open space, bike and ped connections, parking upgrades – the site can take on a new life as a “town center” for the community around it. 

WHAT WE ARE PETITIONING FOR -

This petition is to request a playground be included at the Sandra Moon Community Complex to connect the community and create a happy healthy South Huntsville. With the new library (under construction), pickleball courts (already available), and other community spaces co-located at Sandra Moon Community Complex, the location is ideal for local families. Including a playground would make a facility that could be entertaining for all ages.
