As the latest IPCC report makes clear, governments across the world have to take immediate and far reaching measures if catastrophic global warming is to be avoided. Our government needs a plan to transform its positive words into action. We believe that this Bill legislates for such a plan.
 
The Bill requires the UK to take responsibility for its fair share of greenhouse gas emissions, to actively restore biodiverse habitats, and to stop damaging our natural world through the production, transportation and disposal of the goods we consume. It would also establish a Climate and Nature Assembly, representative of the UK population, in order to advise on the fairest way forward.
