I am a resident of the beautiful town of Fairview, Texas. My neighborhood and I are facing a significant threat that could disrupt our peaceful lives. There is a proposal to build a 173 ft. tall, 44,000 square foot temple just 500 feet from our homes. This construction would be in direct violation of the RE-1 zoning regulations that we as property owners have always respected and abided by.

The RE-1 zoning regulations were put in place to protect residential areas like ours from such intrusive developments. They ensure that buildings within these zones do not exceed certain height and size limits, maintaining the character and tranquility of our neighborhoods.

If this project is allowed to proceed, it will set a dangerous precedent for future developments in Fairview. It will send a message that the town's zoning laws can be disregarded at will, potentially leading to more oversized constructions near residential areas.

We understand the importance of places for community gathering like churches but believe there are more suitable locations for such large structures outside residential zones.

We urge the town council of Fairview to uphold its commitment to its residents by enforcing existing zoning laws. We ask them not only for ourselves but also for future generations who deserve to enjoy their homes without looming megastructures on their doorsteps.
