Post Office – stop excluding non-binary people
Post Office – stop excluding non-binary people
Why this petition matters
Ask the Post Office to stop excluding non-binary people
The Post Office has adopted the pride colours as part of its logo, including the trans stripes.
If it wants to live up to its purported values of sticking up for trans and non-binary people, it should add Mx to its form.
In 2020, the Post Office acknowledged requests for the gender-neutral title Mx to be added to its general enquiry form.
It confirmed that the change was being made in June 2023, but the general enquiry form still has a title drop down menu without Mx as an option, as of 16 August 2023.
About Include Mx
Include Mx is an LGBTQIA+ campaign which was set up in late 2020 by journalist and writer Tom Pashby.
Include Mx has successfully pressured Argos, Wilko, Boden, Debenhams, Next, River Island and others into adding Mx to their forms.
The campaign has been featured in Metro, the i newspaper, PinkNews, Trans Writes, Retail Gazette, Retail Week and other publications.
