South Africa has a big gaming community, with a growing New World player base.

South African New World players have to play on European servers, which means that we get higher ping (often over 200ms). This gives the South African players a disadvantage because, with a higher ping, there is rubber banding which decays our PVP experience, making it extremely difficult for us to partake in PVP missions and wars, PVE is harder.

New World is such an awesome game, with great potential in the Southern Africa region. Enabling servers in South Africa would result in a better playing experience for all South African players and even other players in the Southern Africa region. It would make it more fun, more enjoyable, and more interesting for the South African players.

Amazon Web Services does have a data center located in Cape Town, so the hardware is available for Amazon Games Studios to implement South African servers. We don't need many servers, just one or two to make the playing experience better for all players in the Southern Africa region.
