On September 10, 2021, "The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy" creator, Maxwell Atoms, announced that his pitch for a new Billy & Mandy movie titled "Billy & Mandy Destroy Us All (A Cosmic Horror Musical)" was rejected by Cartoon Network. Included in this pitch was the entire script for the movie along with multiple songs. Atoms stated that Cartoon Network's reason for declining the project was "something about kids not knowing who Billy & Mandy are because CN doesn't play the show."

Word of this decision spread very quickly among fans who were already excited as Atoms had previously teased that he was working on a Billy & Mandy related project on the June 4, 2021 episode of the "What's In My Head" podcast on YouTube.

Needless to say, fans were very upset to hear this news. One Billy & Mandy discord server took it upon themselves to bring attention to this issue using the hashtag #BnMHBO on Twitter to spread the news as well as ask fans to show their support and interest for a new Billy & Mandy movie.

As of now, thousands of tweets supporting this project, including a post from Ricard Horvitz (the voice of Billy), have been made, and the fans have continued to spread awareness to show Cartoon Network that there IS an audience for this film.

Through this petition, we hope to show even more proof that there is hype for this movie and that it will draw a large audience of both old and new fans!
