Why this petition matters

Started by Memphis Infinitism

We, the undersigned, are deeply concerned about the current state of the video game industry. As consumers, we have been subjected to unacceptable game development practices that have left us feeling deceived, disappointed, and often out of pocket.

We are tired of broken, unfinished releases being sold at full price, technical issues with game-breaking bugs, and being made beta testers for games that should have been fully developed before release. The current price of $69.99 for next-gen games is not justifiable when the product is not complete, and it takes a year or more to fix issues.

It is time for higher standards and stronger regulation that protects consumers, not just the video game companies. We demand a change in the way the video game industry operates, with more transparency and accountability. It is unacceptable for consumers to be left with an unplayable product after paying full price.

We call upon regulatory bodies to take action against these unacceptable practices and enforce stricter regulations to ensure that video game companies are held accountable for their actions. This includes providing refunds for broken or unfinished games and ensuring that games are fully developed before being released to the public.

As consumers, we deserve better. We are tired of being treated as cash cows and demand that the video game industry operates more ethically and responsibly. It is time for change, and we urge you to take action.

Sincerely,
Community of Gamers
