Enough is enough! The constant political game of the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) has reached another ugly milestone on Friday, Jan 21, 2022, where the highest government body of Badminton in Malaysia had imposed a 2-year ban to the 2021 All England champ - Lee Zii Jia, and 2015, 2018 girl's singles world's junior + 2018 Youth Olympic Games champ - Goh Jin Wei respectively.

We, Malaysians, have been very tolerant, understanding, and also very respectful of the association even though the association has not been able to produce an Olympic champion or a badminton world champion.

But BAM has been abusing its power again and again by terminating careers of high-potential players pre-maturely, and by imposing unreasonable bans on world-class players which have seriously jeopardized the sport we all love.

As Malaysians, we are currently experiencing a never-ending COVID-19 pandemic, serious floods, and could hardly make ends meet. There's no reason we should tolerate and accept this type of repetitive bullying behavior anymore.

We should stand up to the tyrants in BAM who are destroying the sport of badminton in Malaysia. It is time we all stand together, please vote or sign this petition, and fire the President of BAM Mohamad Norza Zakaria, Secretary-General of BAM Kenny Goh, and Vice President of BAM Jahaberdeen Mohamed Yunoos.

January, 25, 2022 - Lee Zii Jia said he received the blessing from Norza to become a professional player.

January, 26, 2022 - BAM said Goh Jin Wei has submitted her appeal to BAM.

January, 27, 2022 - Lee Zii Jia & Goh Jin Wei met with PM of Malaysia, the PM announced that this incident is considered settled. BAM also announced that Lee Zii Jia and Goh Jin Wei can start register for international tournaments effective immediately.

BUT, these guys still in BAM. History has proven many times that badminton in Malaysia will remain stagnant and fail to progress as long as these guys still in BAM. We need to keep the momentum going. Please continue to share and spread this link to get more signature.
