Recently, it has been announced that the incomplete Global Dream (which is 80% complete) from the defunct Genting Hong Kong may be sold for scrap. To understand why we need to save it, here's a backstory.

The 9,500 passenger ship was ordered in May 2016 by Genting Hong Kong for its subsidiary Dream Cruises and construction started in March 2018.

The Global Dream was scheduled to be completed in late 2022, but in 2020, Covid-19 happened and construction was delayed. When Genting Hong Kong filed for bankruptcy in January 2022, the shipyard, MT Werften, followed suit. Since then, there has been no buyers for the mostly complete vessel.

With the announcement that the shipyard may scrap the hull if no buyer is found, we need to sign a petition to stop them from scrapping the vessel and to find a buyer for it. We need to save the hull and finish it so it can sail for the first time.
