In the latest update of Skullgirls, the developers, Future Club, have decided to remove and censor content in the game. Content that had existed in the game for over 10 years. Some of which included Kickstarter backer content, and guest art that was made for charity. Along with that, they included these changes into the concept art book, which is buyable for $10.

This raises an issue of censorship, as well as digital rights and ownership. This is not the game that thousands of people bought originally. 

We request the following changes to be reinstated or provided equivalents when relevant:

• Reinstate comb from Filia’s Burst animation.
• Reinstate Parasoul palettes: 4, 6, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 16, 22, 24, 25, 27.
• Reinstate in-game Black Egret art for both Parasoul and Umbrella.
• Reinstate an intro voice line in Big Band's alternate voice pack.
• Reinstate an intro voice line in Peacock’s alternate voice pack.
• Reinstate or provide equivalent replacement for the Soviet Announcer voice pack.
• Reinstate 4 illustrations from Gallery > Guest Art
• Reinstate “Parasoul Poster” (Gallery > Posters)
• Reinstate "Parasoul and Black Egret" (Gallery > Parasoul)
• Reinstate "Parasoul and the Egrets" (Gallery > Parasoul)
• Reinstate "Cancer Drive - Parasoul and Valentine" (Gallery > Production Art)
• Reinstate “Double’s Action Shot” (Gallery > Double)
• Reinstate “Cast Poster - Original” (Gallery > Key Art)
• Reinstate “Menu Background” (Gallery > Key Art)
• Reinstate “Double Arcade Stick” (Gallery > Arcade Sticks)
• Reinstate “Film Strip Blue” (Gallery > Arcade Sticks)

• Reinstate several illustrations from “Parasoul’s Story Mode Art” involving Black Egrets apparel and uniform.
• Reinstate illustration from “Umbrella’s Story Mode Art” involving Black Egrets apparel and uniform.

We must resist censorship in all forms. No matter how "justified" or "necessary" it is. We've seen similar censorship this year, to books like Roal Dahl, and films like The French Connection. We must not let this pattern of censorship continue.
