Micro plastics are an ever growing threat. Plastics are sitting in landfills, on beaches and floating in the ocean and over time break down to release micro plastic particles.  These particles are getting into the water supply, into animals and eventually into human bodies. A 2019 study by WWF International concluded people could be ingesting the equivalent of a credit card's weight of plastic a week.

Pepsi Co and Coca-Cola are two of the biggest single use plastic polluters on the planet with many of their bottles never getting recycled or reused.

*** I call on the United States congress to pass a law banning the use and importation of plastic bottles for soda products under 1 liter ***

Soda will have to be consumed in aluminum cans like their 12oz products already or in glass bottles, either way these materials can be recycled and do not emit micro plastics into the environment.

Tell Congress that this needs to be changed.
