Wildcard, the producers of Ark released the Ark game for Nintendo switch in 2018. Since then the Ark game on Nintendo switch has not seen any updates or optimizations. The company, Abstraction Games, who ported it for Wildcard to Nintendo Switch wants to fix the game, read more here:

Considering that the Ark Nintendo switch version is more expensive then on any other console we would expect the studio to at least stay true to their fans to update and optimise ark for the Nintenod Switch.

The switch is more then capable of running ark if some time and money is spent to rework and optimise the code (from 2015) for the Nintendo Switch
