Mountain E-Bikes are not allowed on the mountain bike trail system.  The class 1 e-bike is a pedal assist only and causes no damage to trail system then a regular mountain bike.  It does not have a throttle, you still have to pedal it.  The electric motor only provides some assistance in pedal effort. This rule excludes people with health conditions and handicaps that require the use a pedal assist bike.  I want to change this to open up the opportunity for many to enjoy the beauty of our forest.  I purpose that the current rule be changed to allow  Class 1 mountain e-bikes trail access.
