We, the Guardians of Aquatic Life Society (GALS), are a group of dedicated aquarists committed to the well-being and preservation of aquatic life in home aquariums. Our mission is to ensure that all aquatic creatures in home aquariums receive the highest standard of care, which includes a stable and safe environment.

In the delicate ecosystem of a home aquarium, consistent power is crucial for the survival and health of the fish and other aquatic life. Power outages, which can happen unexpectedly, pose a severe threat by disrupting essential functions like filtration, heating, and oxygenation. This can lead to catastrophic consequences for the inhabitants of the aquarium.

We propose making it compulsory for all aquarium owners to equip their tanks with an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). This will ensure a continuous power supply during outages, safeguarding the delicate balance required for the health and survival of the aquarium's inhabitants.
