Suitable nesting habitat for threatened Marbled Murrelet (low elevation old growth forest) is being progressively destroyed on Southern Vancouver Island and in Tree Farm License 46 near Fairy Creek.
Marbled Murrelets are in danger of extirpation unless more habitat is protected.
We call on the government and the Pacheedaht First Nation to protect Marbled Murrelet in the Bugaboo and Fairy Creek watersheds in perpetuity by creating new Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas OR Wildlife Habitat Areas in Tree Farm License 46
