There used to be a useful feature on certain Samsung Mobile Phone handsets in the Camera settings that people found very useful and some people in fact chose to buy this phone because it had this feature. It was called and marketed on Samsung's Websites and online media and printed media as 'Live Focus' it allowed for blur and bokeh effects to give the photo's an out of focus background effect and the amount of blur/bokeh intensity could be adjusted by means of a slider before taking the photo. This was a very useful feature for amateur and professional users alike. 

In a recent Samsung software update however the Live focus feature was removed from the qualifying phones . 

on recent forums (including the official Samsung community forum) it was reported by moderators that in fact the Live Focus feature had indeed been withdrawn and replaced with 'Portrait setting' - however other community members have been quick to point out that the Portrait setting does not have the same features and work the same way as Live focus did and cannot be set/configured in the same way as Live Focus. 

We, who have signed this petition, ask Samsung developers to reinstate the original Live Focus feature and its settings alongside the portrait feature or instead of the Portrait feature to put the functionality back to how the Mobile Phone was configured when bought and why a lot of consumers bought the phone in the first place and chose the phone because of this feature over other mobile phones on the market.

we are asking for the original Live Focus feature to be reinstated on the next available firmware update that will be rolled out to the Samsung phone models that included Live Focus when bought.
