https://www.nbc.com Days of Our Lives is a beloved soap opera, offering escapism and soapy drama to its loyal fan base for 57 years! Just three years shy of it’s 60th anniversary, NBC plans to BURY it alive on pay-to-watch Peacock. Soaps do not endure on streaming services. Anyone remember the One Life to Live/All My Children Internet reboots?!? Clearly NBC wants to cancel Days, and is attempting to avoid backlash and fan outrage by quietly killing off the soap, slowly and methodically. Do we really need ANOTHER news show on network television?!? Does Corday care so little about his family’s legacy production, the veteran cast members who have spent their ENTIRE CAREERS on Days, let alone a fan base that has remained loyal to the serial for almost 6 decades, that he is willing to placate NBC’s plan to “kill off” it’s last remaining soap opera? Soaps are a creative and venerable art form, worthy of respect and gratitude. Stop the inevitable cancellation of Days; stop NBC’s greed and keep Salem where it belongs: broadcast television, not the streaming graveyard!
