Kate Josephs has admitted that at the time she was responsible for national COVID restrictions, she hosted a leaving party for herself in Downing Street, breaking the national guidance she was, as chair of the COVID Taskforce, responsible for setting.

At the same time she believed that she deserved to throw herself a party to say goodbye to staff, thousands of us could not even say goodbye to our dying loved ones.

She was leaving central government to become Chief Executive of Sheffield City Council on a salary of £190,000. 

She is now under criminal investigation for something she admits she did.

Kate Josephs is still claiming that although she did indeed host a party counter to her own guidance, she can not comment on it due to the ongoing Sue Gray enquiry and Metropolitan Police fiasco.

No one that shows such hypocrisy and contempt for those adhering to her own guidance should be Chief Executive of any city in this country.

A shameful insult to all of us that lost loved ones without being able to say goodbye.

At 500 signatures this petition will be presented to the elected leader of the council. They are currently considering her future in a council committee.

If she resigns she will likely receive around £95,000 as a 'golden goodbye'. If sacked she will receive no such payment. The council must be told that a huge pay-off is utterly unacceptable.
