It has been a long time since "Secret of Evermore" - an instant classic for the Super Nintendo (SNES), launched in 1995 in North America and 1996 in Europe. Never in Japan.

Since then, fans of the game were desperately waiting for a remake let alone a sequel!

While this game always stood in the shadow of "Secret of Mana" for most of the gaming world, it was seen by a (not so small) minority as the visually, graphically and gameplay wise better game.  This action role-playing game (action-RPG) was developed by SQUARESOFT at the time which is now called SQUARE ENIX and published as a SNES-exclusive by NINTENDO.

Since SQUARE ENIX produced a remake of the (also an instant classic) game "Secret of Mana" in 2018 we want "Secret of Evermore" to get the same treatment.

A remake in the art style of "Octopath Traveller", "Triangle Strategy" or the recent remake of "LiveALive" would fit perfectly, since this "2D-HD" art style keeps the charm of 2D-sprites while incorporating modern textures in a 3D environment.

The remake of "LiveALive" is a perfect example of how to improve a game that already is a great game.

This petition is there to show SQUARE ENIX the amount of following this game still has. Through your signature we want to create so much attention that SQUARE ENIX either decides to produce a remake or a sequel to this legendary game. Through own means or a kickstarter funding.
