This petition is to raise awareness about the slow processing times being experienced by the Temporary resident to permanent resident pathway applicants (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/tr-pr-pathway.html It's been more than two (2) years and some applicants have not received their Permanent Residence in Canada which is unacceptable.

Despite several efforts to contact our respective members of parliament, this is the email template response we normally receive: 

Currently, there are no processing times for us to follow, for TR-PR applications. The TR-PR applications were limited-time applications that people could apply for. Because these are not ordinary applications, processing times cannot be provided, as there is no previous history of average processing times for these types of applications. Because there are no processing times, we need to give the officer more time to work on the application. It is completely normal for TR-PR applications to take this amount of time, and even longer, as these applications unfortunately do not have processing times that can be followed. They are considered as non-urgent applications. Nonetheless, your application is in great hands and no additional documents are needed from you, at this time.
