Why this petition matters

Started by Raven Mounla

We are writing this petition to ask for fair consideration at the upcoming hearing regarding the use of the stage at Beech Lake, due to be held on January 18th, 2023.  On October 8th, 2022, the owners of Metal Devastation Promotions, LLC hosted the Tennessee Metal Devastation Music Fest at Beech Lake.  The event was family friendly, did not have any major issues with public drunkenness, no damage was done to the property, and the venue was left clean.   As members of the community in Lexington, TN and Henderson County, we enjoyed this event and would like to see it held again in our community this year, and in the future.  We ask for fair use of this venue.  We feel our event had a positive impact on the community, both economically and socially. So many people came out and enjoyed it.  As this festival continues to grow, it will greatly help our community financially.  If any other event is held at the Beech Lake stage, we believe we should have the same opportunity to have this event there as well.  Attached are signatures of citizens of Lexington, TN, Henderson County, as well as people from surrounding counties who would like to attend this event in Lexington.  We do not want to see this music festival taken to another town or city.  Thank you for your time and consideration.  We trust that your decision will be fair and just.

Sincerely,

Residents of Lexington, TN, Henderson County, TN,  and residents of surrounding counties
