We, the people of Australia, demand the Federal, State and, Territory Governments to stop home rentals discriminating against family members - our pets.

Thousands of companion animals are being surrendered, euthanized because they were not allowed to remain with their family due to home rental discrimination. 

The situation of pounds and animal rescue is in crisis and too many animals are traumatised, stressed and ultimately killed because of discrimination in the rental market. Their human families suffer due to the forced loss of their companion animal.

Australian Prime Ministers while transient occupants of the Lodge have been able to enjoy their companion animals. If our national leaders can keep their companion animals, then the public deserve the same. 

Animals are sentient and have strong emotional and social lives.
