BCP Council want to borrow even more money by setting up a new company, owned by the Council, and then sell the beach huts along our coastline. The sums are around £50million, fees undisclosed, financial report undisclosed, business plan undisclosed etc. No discussions with residents, funds being channelled through another new entity Future Places Ltd, which acts as a consultancy firm for the council, again costing millions and itself causes additional concerns. Revenue of over £5m per year will go to this new company and not to the council to go towards basic council services.

We need these plans to be put on hold to allow full disclosures of all documents, to allow in-depth scrutiny by the opposition and to allow debate by the public.

This might be a good idea, but needs to benefit the residents of BCP and not the political careers of certain BCP Councillors.

BCP Council leaders want to increase our borrowings to a whopping £1.334billion with concerns among residents of casino style projects increasing debt to the detriment of residents in this area
