We are deeply concerned about the recent decision made by Conservative-run Nottinghamshire County Council to increase school dinner prices by £2 a week, starting from October 16. This means that families in Nottinghamshire will now have to pay £14.75 per week for their children's school meals, which is an alarming 28% rise from pre-COVID prices.

We strongly urge the Tories to reconsider this unjust decision and reverse the school dinner price increase immediately. This petition is personal to me because I believe that every child deserves access to affordable and nutritious meals while at school.

By reversing this decision and maintaining affordable meal prices at schools, we can ensure that all children have access to healthy food options during their education without placing additional strain on struggling families. It is crucial for the Tories at Nottinghamshire County Council to prioritise the well-being of our community's children.
