Why this petition matters

Started by Phoenix Ryusoke

Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth; one of the most recognized gay pairings in the entire Ace Attorney franchise. But... even as Capcom hints at, makes suggestions, and even outright have Miles Edgeworth state "Thanks to you, I am saddled with... unnecessary feelings." to Phoenix Wright, they still are not canon.

This would not be fanservice. This would genuinely be one of the most amazing forms of LGBTQ+ representation in video game history. Phoenix Wright even has daughter, Trucy Wright- wouldn't it be wonderful if she finally had another parental figure in her life?

Capcom could put an announcement on Twitter, just stating "Yeah, Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth are dating", but no. I think they, in the next game, minimum, have a character mention the fact that they're dating, married, a couple- whatever! Another option, they could dedicate an entire "Turnabout" (A "chapter" of the game) to their relationship.

I understand this would be difficult in Japan. LGBTQ+ has always been a rocky topic in Japan. But truly, it'd make the fans of this pairing, who've been patiently waiting for confirmation, since the game debut in 2001. It's been almost 20 years, Capcom, we know you took inspiration from gay manga writing these two. It'd give some sort of closure to the fans of this pairing, giving confirmation to a pairing which companies rarely, RARELY ever do.

Please, share this petition with every Ace Attorney, WrightWorth/NaruMitsu(The fandom names for the ship), or just a fan of representation in general. I'm not aiming for much. I don't think this will go big. Thank you so much for your support, and thank you for reading.
